Creating a safe environment is my priority for my classroom. My students vary within the autism spectrum. They range from repetitive behaviors, social skills, communication, speech and specific learning disabilities. Building an atmosphere where students feel secure makes them reach their individual goals. Students are presented with different opportunities to exhibit their social skills with others within the classroom by interactions within other general education students and teachers . Playing games, listening or reading a book and even sometimes listening to a teacher playing the guitar and singing gives them an opportunity to succeed in life.
