I teach at an inner city school. We are a Title l school. That means 98% of the students receive free or reduced-priced lunch. Many of my students are English Language Learners and they are one or two years below grade level. My students are enthusiastic about school but struggle with Math content. Children attending my school live in a low socioeconomic area, and they don't have access to technology. All of our state testings are completed on the computer. My goal is to offer them the right opportunities to foster their Math skills, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge. There are tons of web-based learning and educational programs and activities that children at my school could benefit from. Having access to the programs could assist with school success, social skills, and with Math skills.
