This classroom carpet will be used by pre-k students daily. The carpet will be used to create a place to build a classroom community and explore together. It will provide an inviting gathering place for students as they learn about school for the first time. A new rug for our classroom would provide us with a place to come together as a community, provide us a place to be creative, a place to dance and a comfy place to do our best learning. The majority of my students come from low-income households and qualify for free and reduced-priced lunch.
