They say that in order for students to develop properly they need to have reading, talking, and music included in their learning. Musical instructions help to develop students language and reasoning. When students are learning music they are also learning a craft and it helps students to want to create good work instead of rushed or mediocre work. The music instruments that we are requesting, including Synthetic Rainsticks, Plastic Egg Shakers, and Littlestar Tambourines will help us build a foundation in music starting with rhythm. Many of my students come from the Latino culture and music is so influential in their lives. They deserve the chance to be exposed to music and have the chance to make music and explore their culture through rhythm.
