All of our students want their own digital device so that they can stay up to par with 21st century technology skills. However, some are unable to afford it! The few school laptops that I have are not enough for all of my students and may lag or have other tech problems. With your contribution of these laptops, students will be able to focus on their academic online assignments instead of computer troubleshooting. This will increase students' desire to learn digitally with all their online tools! Furthermore, having an adequate amount of laptops for each student means that if they need to quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they won't get behind on their studies and can contact me with our online learning platform! Lastly, computers give students the ability to work at their own pace, use audio/dictation capabilities which is great for English language learners (ELL) and/or students with learning disabilities, and complete online projects that will be saved via cloud.
