When student's feel comfortable, it will make them focus better. When the student's are instructed to "to go the rug" for morning meeting, they will have a place to go and sit, whereas they would be sitting on the hardwood floor. I am also creating a "reading corner" in my class and would love a comfy seat for the students to be able to sit on. I feel that if they had somewhere comfortable to sit, they would be more encourage to read. The rug will also benefit my students when they have free play, they can sit with a partner on the rug and use their imaginations together!
