I am trying to expand my classroom library with the changing needs of my students. While I have a set 3rd grade collection of both fiction and non-fiction texts, I have found that these books do not meet the changing needs of ALL students. My classroom consists of English Language Learners, emergent readers, and advanced readers. I would like my classroom library to reflect the diversity of my creative students. To motivate my students, my instruction is individualized based on their unique learning styles. With a rich library, my hope is that my students will develop a lifelong reading routine.
