Remember having a teacher constantly asking, " Can you please put your chair down before you slip and hurt yourself!" Students have not changed. They need to be able to move and rock sometimes. With lots of ADHD diagnoses teachers have to be understanding. Also studies have show that flexible seating and movement in the classroom is beneficial to our students. I want to give my students flexible seating and work stations. Students will be able to get the wiggles out without getting in trouble or getting hurt rocking back in the traditional chairs. So, instead of remaining at one desk students will rotate with their book bin to other work stations areas that all have some form of flexible seating choice.
