Developmentally, most of my students operate at an educational level comparable to a toddler. Often my students are thought of as kids who can't learn. This is so far from the truth. Just the other day I had a student say "water" for the first time. It was one of the very few words I have heard from him since the beginning of the year, but it was so exciting. The supplies in my project will help my students learn and develop with developmentally appropriate educational toys, manipulatives, and activities. It will help them learn basic life skills such as colors, numbers, names of food, how to manipulative things with their hands, and will continue to foster their language. Additionally, some of the supplies will be used to support their regulation through the use of sensory items.
