These materials will allow me to give my students a variety of ways to practive and build communication skills through play, and using their imaginations. Students will stay engaged in exciting new learning games and activities that will enhance their communication skills. My students love opportunities to communicate during play and need more of a variety of materials during speech therapy so they can expand language and articulation skills during this time. This large variety of materials will give my students many ways to facilitate speech and language, while also practicing basic skills with fun hands on learning, and opportunities for creativity. The whisper phone will allow my students working on their articulation to better hear their own sounds. The barn and blocks will be used will preschool children to expand their basic concepts through play and encourage turn taking in conversation during play as well. The games will be used with my older students who practice language concepts with games as reinforcement. The language arts activities, steps to retelling fiction, and beginning problem solving will be used with my elementary students to work on these skills during therapy to improve language and vocabulary. The sign language cards will be used with my nonverbal students to encourage communication and to teach caregivers basic signs. The multipurpose paper will be used to create therapy materials using bright colors for added visual appeal for students!
