My goal as a Health Teacher is to put a water bottle in every student's hand. Because our environment is so hot, it is crucial for students to stay hydrated. In our Health curriculum, we dedicate several entire lessons to teaching about the importance of creating healthy habits, and that drinking water is among the most important! Most of my students are constantly dehydrated. On any given day when I look around my classroom, usually there are only a couple people who have water bottles. When students have the ability to drink water while they are in class, they will stay hydrated. Proper hydration will help to increase memory function, reduce mental fatigue, and energize students for maximum learning!
