Each year, I normally have between 25-28 students from all economic backgrounds. My class is usually a mixture of regular ed, autism, gifted and students with learning disabilities. I teach with a focus on learning through doing. Each week, I plan on at least one project-based activity per subject. I also run a Lego Club for all students at my school. My school houses third through fourth grades. We have approximately 550 students. I run the Lego Club in the fall and spring and we focus on STEM based projects. I also coach Girls on the Run, which is also offered to all female students at my school. This after school program focuses on self-esteem and learning how to be healthy and make good choices. At the end of the Girls on the Run program, we run a 5k.
