With technology's growing presence in the classroom, headphones are a truly essential supply for students. The ear buds which I am requesting would allow my students who need help developing reading fluency the opportunity to hear books read aloud. My students who need to improve their spelling could listen to words and practice writing them. In math, students could listen to their peers' explanations of how they solved complex problems. Headphones would allow my students to listen to instructional videos on academic sites like Khan Academy. Ear buds would open up a world of possibilities for my students! These could be used across all subjects. They would allow students to work on many different projects and activities at once without disrupting each other.
