A classroom carpet in my classroom would allow my students to have a common meeting point for many activities and discussions. I believe that this carpet will bring my students together as a community and have them feel safe in their new learning environment. It is important that students feel they can share things with their teacher and classmates to be able to collaborate with us. I will be able to facilitate group conversations about topics such as fables and folktales, states of matter, and we could even take the area of our carpet. I believe that this carpet would set our classroom up for success with my first year of teaching.

About my class
