Themes are a great way to introduce and teach subjects in Kindergarten. Scholars use their prior knowledge to gain confidence as they open their minds to new information. Holidays give families an opportunity to spend time together and celebrate. Holiday celebrations offer wonderful opportunities for children to learn about traditions, values and cultures. Learning about holiday celebrations brings families together, fosters cherished memories and builds connections between school and home. This project will encourage parental involvement each month as caregivers will read aloud to children at school. Follow-up hands-on craft activities will be completed after the read-aloud. Other fun and simple family projects will be sent home to complete together.
