My students need to be able to move around, wiggle, fidget when they need to. Kindergarten is not like it used to be. Children do not simply play all day and nap. They are expected to learn like all the other grades. They are expected to sit and work and this is hard for their little bodies to do. Not all students are about to sit in a square on the carpet and focus or sit at a table and do their work. These alternative seating options are going to give my students the ability to sit in the floor and at their tables with the ability to wiggle and move while focusing on their work.
