Whiteboards offer students an opportunity to get up and solve problems. Chalk is a difficult tool as some students have sensitivity to the dust particles and must be used at the proper angle to avoid that terrifying screeching sound that's loud. Not only is that sound distracting it also makes some students feel uncomfortable. I struggle with classroom participation as it is and having them worry about having to correctly use chalk is a concern that they shouldn't have to worry about as well. Thank you so much for helping me get all the tools necessary to help my students succeed.
