Students have been affected by COVID-19 in many ways. They have experienced learning loss, but also have lost key social skills needed to be effective citizens. Students will use these coding projects, board games, and manipulatives to complete project based learning activities as a team, learning how to work together as a team and make compromises. Students crave time together after learning for 2 years behind a computer, these activities will give them the opportunity to develop interdependence and the socialization they crave. All these activities can be tied back to specific learning objectives of 5th grade, so the application of skills they learn and reinforced.

About my class
