I am requesting 4 wobble chairs, 5 bouncy bands, 4 balance balls, and 5 metal stools. I teach a young grade where many students have trouble focusing and staying on task. Doing research, I have learned that young children simply need movement to learn. The new furniture will help the kids focus. Pent up energy distracts and disengages, but releasing that energy through chairs that give the kids ability to wobble, bounce, or stand will go a very long way for their academic success. The new furniture will increase focus and eliminate behavioral issues to maximize student learning. With dwindling recess and gym time, students today don't get the movement they need. Without the movement, students disengage and struggle to focus. Your help with the new furniture will not just help my students this year, but all my future generations of students as well. Thank you! The students and I can't wait to have more learning options for our learning environment!
