With flexible seating my students are not all contained in a “one size fits all” box. So students that want to wiggle sit on a wobble chair while they work. Students that want to relax can sit on a pillow. If they want to stand they can do that too. When teachers think outside of the box and accommodate the needs of their students they are able to spend more time teaching instead of correcting “bad behavior”. As a person that “wiggles” a lot I completely understand when my students need to move around or even lay down across the floor. As long as we are still learning I am ok with the change.
