My class moves around frequently to stay active and make learning fun. We need a nice, new, and clean rug to sit on for group activities as we've worn our old rug out! My students have a range of disabilities and several are in wheelchairs. They thoroughly enjoy getting out of their wheelchairs and sitting on the rug with classmates. Furthermore, a rug is a great place to work on stretching and positioning goals for students with physical disabilities. During reading and social studies lessons and activities, my students are always interested in where they live as well as learning about other parts of the world. They will enjoy identifying states on the rug!
