Our kindergarten class will utilize this cozy carpet to create a common gathering place for daily meetings, whole class instruction, reading stories, singing songs, and so much more. We gather together as a whole class throughout the day to share successes big and small. A classroom carpet will provide a comfortable place for students to sit together as a class rather than on the bare floor. Our current carpet is extremely old and worn. The larger carpet will provide space for all students to sit comfortably in his or her own space. Many of our lessons take place on the carpet where students sit together and share their thinking and learning. I want my classroom to be a welcome space for my little learners!
