Our school have bright minds ready to absorb quality literature and the latest technology tools that would assist learning. Many students in our Title I school have limited opportunities and resources to experience educational activities outside of school. As the media specialist, my goal is to introduce our students to quality stories( Newberry Award and Caldecott Awarded books), interesting content, and assist students with reading/ comprehending curriculum based materials. Students are not just reading, but reading quality literature. Introducing them to quality literature will give them positive experiences. Students who are well versed in quality literature are able to apply what they learn to all aspects of their educational life. Increasing student success in reading quality literature and the latest technologies will also increase parent interest in seeing their child being successful.
