The materials I am requesting are to create a more flexible learning environment for my young scholars. Flexible seating is being adopted by many teachers throughout the country to help students learn how they work best. Kindergarten bodies are not made to sit in a chair working all day! They need space to work on the floor and move around. A classroom environment designed with this in mind will not only allow my students to learn better, but it will give them autonomy in the process. I know that I don't do my best working sitting in a table and chair - so why should I expect my young scholars to?
