We'll be discovering a whole new world of plant life by learning all about the structure of plants, the life cycle of plants, and how plants are used in daily life. The children will complete art projects on the plants they grow from seed including: oil pastel drawings, water colors paintings, and paper art - all to be displayed on a project board to show off their learning. This exciting art centered project will help students learn all about plant structure, life cycle and plant use in a fun and exciting way. How cool is that? Bright colors and vivid imaginations will fuel this exciting journey into what makes a plant so special. We'll be using oil pastels to draw the different stages of the life cycle of a plant. Other art projects will include water colors paintings to show a diagram of the parts of the plant; a paper cutter will help cut the differing sizes of colored construction paper to make tear art pictures of plant uses, e.g. how plants are used to make baskets, used in food we eat, even used in clothing. All of these different art projects will be displayed on a project board to show off all our fantastic learning.
