Have you ever tried sitting on a hard plastic chair for a day?! As adults we don't like doing it, but we ask our students to do it every day. Many students in our class have a hard time sitting still, and our chairs make it an even greater challenge to focus on important instruction and learning! We would like to create a 21st century learning space in our classroom that considers the learning styles and special needs of each of our students. Wobble chairs and stability balance discs would help those kids who feel fidgety or uncomfortable in their seats, and comfortable chairs would encourage emerging readers to engage in reading! Being able to choose seating options to help learners stay focused on instruction and their tasks would help each individual be a more productive learner!
