As a new teacher without a classroom budget, books are definitely of the highest value for my students. Many of my students do not have access to books at home, so providing books for them is one of my biggest priorities. Reading is a fundamental part of everyday life and necessary in almost every aspect of daily living. Instilling a love of reading in each and every one of my students will help them bridge their educational gaps and start them on a life-long journey of reading. A great classroom library, full of both fun-to-read and informational books is a must for every teacher but a hugely expensive undertaking to create.
