The academic standards and Advanced Placement exam for Government and Politics were completely overhauled beginning with the class of 2019. The review books and textbook are out of date for the new AP curriculum. Last year I won a handful of new review books which align with the new AP standards. I utilized the review books during tutoring time. My students loved the books and told me how much better prepared they were because the had access to this material. I want to have a class set of these books so every student can use them during classroom instruction as well as during the tutoring time. Students will also be allowed to check them out and take them home where they can review at their own pace. Donations to this project will help my students to improve their writing skills and data analysis of the political science disciplinary practices and enduring understandings all AP government students are expected to develop throughout the year. The book includes the primary source documents which are now required for reading and understanding in preparation for the end of the year exam. The book also contains practice exam questions including a full length exam. There are practice skill activities as well as a thorough review of the content they need to know for the intense AP exam in May.
