My goal as an educator is to make the dream of college, a reality for our scholars. We believe that one's zip-code should never define their future. School should be rigorous and relevant for every child. We refer to our students as scholars, because they have made the commitment to apply themselves to being college-ready. For our scholars that means a longer school day, a curriculum that is more challenging than the minimum required by our state and district, and an 80% mastery requirement in all of their core classes. Being a Title I, urban Middle School for the college-bound doesn't make us special, but our scholars sure do!
