Our class is a fully inclusive preschool program in a public school where three to five year old students learn together and build understanding and life long friendships. We are a co-taught partnership that includes students who qualify for special education services and their typical peers. Our classroom believes that building a diverse community is the first step in building understanding. We work together to overcome challenges and build on strengths. Our community forms in our classroom and follows students beyond our elementary school. We learn through working together that everyone has strengths and challenges. Supporting one another helps all of us to achieve and be our best selves. These relationships shape not only our students but their families building a more inclusive community for everyone.
