The carpet for our classroom will replace one that is significantly smaller. When my 5 year olds came to school in the beginning of the year, it was already a tight fit for all of them to sit! Now, most of them are 6 and growing and need space to sit on the carpet. We use our carpet for over half the day and my students need room for their growing minds and bodies. Sitting and working at the carpet increases my student's attention span and engagement in the lesson. We use our carpet for community building, interactive lessons, and learning with movement. Community building is an integral portion of our day. By sitting at the same eye level as their peers, we are able to form meaningful relationships between students and teachers. Additionally, my students love learning with movement! We use lots of YouTube videos to move and groove. However, our current carpet is too small and most of my kids are laying and dancing on the tile. Our new carpet will give us the space we need to grow, learn, and thrive. I know this will help my students, but I need your help to make this a reality. Thank you!
