The magazines will be used to increase students awareness of current events in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). I will also use the magazines to teach students technical scientific vocabulary that they have never before heard and reading comprehension skills that will help them in ALL subject areas. The art supplies will be used to incorporate the arts (STEAM- science, technology, engineering, art, and math) as well as allow for a creative outlet so that students feel free to express themselves outside of a test. Models will be used so students can "see" the concepts that are otherwise untouchable.
