Active Learners! All students are unique individuals. They each have qualities that will help them become the best learners that they can be. My students are described, by others, as empathetic, kind, hard-working, and thoughtful. I see them as thinkers, active listeners and participants. They are eager to learn about the world around them and always want to find out more. My students tell me, "We even teach you!" And, they are right. I love seeing how excited they are to learn. They come into second grade with some hesitation. They are unsure of themselves. Students want to please and do well and they are amazed at what they can accomplishment. By the end of second grade they want to know EVERYTHING. They push themselves individually and work together to solve problems. My second graders become a family. We stand up for each other and encourage one another to be the best person they can be!
