Kindergartners are curious and explorers by nature. One of the most effective ways for young students to learn is by "hands on exploration". By providing my students with STEM stations and building sets will provide opportunities for my students to learn through exploration. This will help to develop problem solving skills as well as persistence. Both theses skill will be valuable for life long success. Providing non-fiction book that focus on STEM for my young students will help to promote vocabulary development which is critical for my English Learners students. These books contain the picture support that is needed when young students are learning new vocabulary and concepts. It is my goal to have my kindergartners be part of the learning process and by giving them opportunities to choose which STEM station they want to participate in will help to keep my young students engaged and motivate in their learning!
