I have the honor of teaching 120 amazing 6th graders. All of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds with various experiences of trauma and violence. Many of my students are English language learners, some students are on IEPs receiving special education support. Our classroom is fully stem integrated across all subjects. My desire is to have each student experience their learning in an authentic and impactful way. Our student's families our incredibly hardworking. However, they all still struggle with providing basic essentials. I hope to create campaigns that will bolster my students learning while also ensuring that day to day nutritional and health needs are being met. As a person and educator, I believe that community action and partnership can greatly impact the lives of each of my students.
