Offering various opportunities for the students to feel comfortable in a classroom helps ensure they are able to learn important skills for future success. Students' frustrations, due to their disabilities, change daily so they need a variety of possible ways to help them regroup so they can learn and master the skills. Only having one location to regroup is not realistic in a classroom will only help one child at a time. Having multiple ways for students to regroup themselves then the chances for learning to continue throughout the day increases greatly. Students will be able to master skills for success in the world around them, in a way that is less stressful, comfortable, and welcoming. The lamp, room divider, and window tint will allow students to learn without being distracted by the harshness of regular overhead lights, others walking by, or the bright sun coming through the windows. Having a variety of comfortable seating available will allow them to practice skills in an area of the room they choose that will be comfortable for them. Also using the yoga mats will allow students to have the opportunity to regroup, calm themselves, and to step away from a stressful situation they are not yet able to control on their own.
