I work in a small rural Central Pennsylvania school with class sizes averaging 18-20 students. My students have mixed backgrounds. Only about half attend a preschool while the other half is with an extended family member if parents work. I stay in frequent contact with all of my families and believe that the families do all they are capable of to ensure their child is successful at school. I am starting my 7th year as a kindergarten teacher, and 20th year of teaching. I love teaching kindergarten and having the opportunity to spend the whole day with my students. Helping my sweet, young, innocent students learn to be part of the community is my overall goal for the school year. I strive to make school a fun and safe so that students leave kindergarten loving school and learning.
