Using portable whiteboards will enable to take their language on the move. I often ask my students to communicate with one another in the second language. Students are asked to move around the room to simulate activities like shopping. I also ask the student to record answers in the second language. A whiteboard for each student would enable students to do this in a simple, yet effective, way. For example, when students are at our pretend supermarket, shopping for foods, they could keep a list of the items they purchase using their clipboard. This is just one of many ideas.
