My students need these iPads to compete within our technologically advance world. These iPads give my students the opportunity to expand their knowledge by experiencing virtual labs, allows them the opportunity to further research points of interest, and practice in using technology within a professional setting. Our students were devastated by Hurricane Harvey and have lost most of their technology due to damages from the storm. With STEM careers being on the rise, the students are eager to be exposed to more than what is in the classroom. The population of my school is predominately ESL and this type of technology would help them out with visual and real life connections.
