Obtaining a Cricut Maker Machine will put me only one step away from teaching my students how to incorporate social studies, STEM and creativity all at once. Often times, social studies classes are overlooked, and they rarely receive the resources that are given to math and science; however, all classes matter and should be placed on an equal playing field. I have outstanding students who are waiting to bring their creativity to life, to learn a new skill and to continue to build on skills they have currently. A Cricut Maker Machine may be considered a small gesture in the grand scheme of things, but it would be a giant improvement in my social studies classroom. I believe that technology has the ability to create innovative and confident students who are able to share their thoughts, ideas and creativity!
