I am requesting books and tablets for my students because I've seen that they struggle with reading and writing strategies that are presented to them on a daily basis! Allowing them to utilize technology while visiting reading and writing websites will introduce the material in a new way. I'm hoping my students will learn that reading and writing can be fun once you get the hang of it! The donations will allow my students to utilize technology in an educational way by stimulating their minds differently than just books in hand. It will also allow for students to have access to new book collections and material that they haven't had in the past.
