Spanish class can be both very exciting and intimidating for many students. Speaking is a huge component of learning a foreign language. A nonthreatening way to engage students and encourage speaking is to allow student to record themselves in Target using their cellphones. Self recording allows shy students to create oral presentations without fear, while supporting more advanced students with movie making. The microphones will afford students more privacy when speaking and will limit additional background noise for a much more clear sound as I check for oral proficiency. Personal microphones will expand our Spanish curriculum for lifelong learning.
