Hello everyone!! I am a first year teacher and eagerly waiting to meet my 1st grade students on August 7th, 2017. Three years ago I made the decision to return back to school and finish my education. I graduated from Northern Arizona University May 2017 in Elementary Education. I will be working in a Title 1 school with 100% students receiving free lunch. The majority of my students will be ELL (English language learners). At our school the beginning of the day is dedicated to reading intervention for all grade levels. Many of the students come from low economic backgrounds and may not have sufficient books at home to read. My goal is to create a classroom library with an abundance of lower level and grade appropriate leveled books. I want to be able to provide my students with book bags to send home so that they can become fluent readers. Any and all help is very much appreciated.
