This year my goal is to provide my students with an environment that gives them an opportunity for their best learning. My kindergarteners need these STEM building materials to explore and discover using their own creativity. This project would provide different kinds of materials such as Keva Planks, Tinker Toys, and Brain Flakes for my students to work with. Although we have a small classroom, providing my students with centers allows them to move and interact with each other. By using these various building materials, they will develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and verbal skills while creating structures together. They will also become independent learners and be able to move at their own pace based on their ability, which widely varies from student to student. The STEM building materials will foster and benefit their creativity.
