Having the four new tablets with cases and headphones will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is during centers. Students will be able to listen to reading as they are following along, practice phonics to help them learn to read, practice letter names, and hear sounds and rhymes all on an independent level. I will also be able to download apps for various literacy practice skills, which will allow me to have different activities for both my highest performing and struggling students. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future.
