The Kindness Rock Project (www.thekindnessrocksproject.com) is an international project that has two primary goals. 1: Inspire others through creating and randomly placing rocks along the way; 2: Recruit every person who stumbles upon a rock to inspire others through random acts of kindness. My project will extend the Kindness Rock Project. Each student in my 4 classes will get to prepare, design and seal their own kindness rock using the stones, paints, paint pens and sealer on the list. Rocks will be stored in the cart throughout the process until they are ready to place their rock in the community. Students will also keep an electronic journal to explain the motivation for creating their rock, tracking data on their rock and reflections about the project.
