This is my first full year as an elementary teacher. I am going into a classroom that is bare bones, there only are walls, desks, and tables. I want to provide classroom essentials for my amazing students, but working in the lowest paid district in the San Francisco Bay Area makes it very challenging. One of the fundamental skills in 5th grade is organization. We need organization to be successful in school and in life and I want to be able to provide these important tools and skills for my students. I am requesting materials that will help us stay organized, such as mailboxes, book bags, storage centers and trays to hold all my students' wonderful work and supplies. Organization is essential for students to be successful. These items will make everything easily accessible. Clean up will be more efficient, giving the students more time to learn and work on projects.
