We are in a time where children use technology daily, I want to incorporate tablets into reading centers for my students. They will be able to listen to books that I have in the classroom. In the past, I have had to use old cassette tapes that are constantly breaking and my students have fewer and fewer books to listen to each year. Tablets will allow me to provide more options to my students and inspire them to read more and more! Listening centers teach students how to read with inflection and fluency. These tablets are tools to help my students with their own reading comprehension, which is an area many struggle with.
