What better way to instill the love of reading through the use of Technology? Allowing students to have the use of Kindle Fires and a charging station (Tech Tub) will give students access to thousands of books on subjects they love. Our classroom or school library could never hold that many books! I see many students turn away from reading because they "cannot find a book I like". Kindle Fires will open the possibility of finding the book they are passionate about, while improving their reading and technological skills. It will allow me to have access to many different types and levels of books for all of my students that my classroom library could not hold. I am also requesting a Tech Tub that will allow all the Kindle Fires to charge and be locked securely each night.
