This project will support the reading growth of my students. Students know when they come to my guided reading table they are readers who use strategies, decode, and think critically. They feel successful and confident. These materials will make our guided reading and small group time more systematic, engaging, and we will be able to maximize our one-on-one time together. The project will fund posters for anchor charts, headphones for read-aloud accommodations and audiobooks, a laminating machine to create individual student-guided reading kits, bookshelves for our class leveled-library, sturdy seating for our guided reading table, sight word kits, and paper, pencil cases (toothbrush holders because of DIY of course), pencils, and erasers for students to use while practicing skills they have learned in our intervention groups.
